| There are two types of
siblingship tests. Full siblingship and half siblingship. A
siblingship test provides the likelihood of genetic relationship
between two possible siblings, specifically when no other
relatives are available for study. |
| If the alleged
siblings share the same mother, this
study is named as full siblingship. In this case the siblings
are questioning if they have the same father and the father is
not available to test. The Full Siblingship DNA Test can be done
if the mother is available or if the mother is not available. |
| If the siblings know
that they have different mothers but
want to know if they share the same father and the father is not
available for testing. Half siblingship DNA Test can be done if
one or both of the mothers are not available. |
| Siblingship test can
be performed for a maximum of two alleged sibling at a time. |
We are using the
largest provider of DNA Paternity and other DNA tests in the
U.S. and worldwide.
Our lab is using robots ensuring highly stringent and efficient
handling of DNA samples
DNA Siblingship testing is not as definitive as DNA Paternity
testing. It is technically not possible to determine with
absolute certainty whether two people are siblings. Including the
biological parent with siblingship test will increase the
probability of obtaining conclusive results. |
